Enclosed by Walls is a series of drawings started to document and analyze the courtyard plan typology. Courtyard typology is amongst the oldest formal systems introduced in architecture to organize spaces around an opening that is indeed enclosed by walls. 

This archive catalogs different types of courtyards while creating analysis drawings from historic or modern examples of architecture. The research seeks to identify the diverse spatial, structural, and societal features of courtyards, establishing a framework to comprehend the evolution of this design approach.
