About
Alper Turan is a multi-disciplinary designer and researcher currently based in New Orleans. Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Alper holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Istanbul Technical University and a post-professional M.Arch II degree from Yale University School of Architecture. Alper works in the fields of architecture, representation, and graphic design. He is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University and collaborates with Paula Scher at Pentagram Design on environmental graphics projects for clients such as the Public Theater, Memphis Art Museum, and High Line.

Each indexed project strives to leverage form as a tool for engendering critical social, environmental, or representational influence, spanning a spectrum of scales ranging from the intimitate domestic space to expansive urban realm. Some of these experiments use architectural form as a medium, while others are expressed through graphic narratives.
